Bodyboarding is the fastest growing sport in Australia and the kids of Ulladulla have proved that. Three local champion bodyboarders are travelling to Port Macquarie to represent New South Wales in the Australasian Titles on September 15-21.

Liam Glass made selections after travelling to Newcastle for round one NSW State Titles and Avalon for round two. His points bought him in seventh position in NSW in the Cadet Division in which he was the youngest competitor.

Emma Cobb also travelled to Newcastle and Avalon to bring her into first position in NSW. Emma also competed in Womens Pro and came third.

This is a great achievement for these surfers as they don't get much competition experience.

A late selection for the team is Joe Silver who was in the reserve squad, due to a couple of competitors pulling out, he too is heading off to Port, good on you Joe.

Good luck goes out to these talented bodyboarders who will be competing against the best from around Australia and New Zealand.

Liam has gained sponsorship from Southern Man, which he is pretty stoked about, and proud to be on their team.

After discussions with Gail Dunn and a few other people, Ulladulla Bodyboarding Club is going to be up and running again. Bodyboarders of any age and any level are encouraged to come along, the more the merrier.

The beginners will gain experience and the experienced will gain even more experience. The contests will be run every second Sunday of the month, the first to get up and running will be on October 5, though this will need to be confirmed, keep an eye out in this paper.
